This dish is inspired by chicken 65 and is very popular among people who enjoy eating spicy food. This recipe is prepared using besan flour, corn flour, rice, ginger garlic paste and melange of Indian spices. This method is a kind of restaurant style gobi 65.

RECIPE FOR GOBI 65

INGREDIENTS
For Blanch
- 2 cup cauliflower florets
- 5 cup water
- pinch of salt - to cook cauliflower
- 1/4 cup besan flour
- 1/2 cup corn flour
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tbsp rice flour - optional
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 2 tbsp chilli sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1 spring curry leaves - fried
- 3-4 green chillies - fried
PROCEDURE
- bring water to boil in a sauce pot and add salt to it
- cut the cauliflower into small florets and drop in hot boiling water
- blanch them for 5 minutes to remove the impurities
- strain the water from the florets and keep them aside
- in the large mixing bowl, add besan flour, corn flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, ginger garlic paste and salt
- to this, gradually add water and mix well to get a nice flowy, smooth batter and set aside
- heat oil in a wok
- now dip the cauliflower florets in the prepared batter fully and drop them in hot oil
- let them fry until they turn golden brown and keep them aside
- fried cauliflower florets are ready
- heat a tbsp of oil in the pan, add tomato ketchup, chilli sauce, soy sauce, red chilli powder and salt
- mix well quickly
- add the fried florets to the sauce, gently stir, toss and saute for 30 seconds to 1 minute, and then switch off the flame
- garnish with fried curry leaves and fried green chillies
- serve hot with a cup of tea or coffee
- Enjoy!
- it tastes great when served hot and crispy
- if you want to increase the spice level, add more chilli sauce
- make the batter slightly thick and not too runny and not too thick
- no need for resting time after preparing the batter
