Bread omelette is simple to make and it will be ready in 10 minutes. To make this omelette, you will need bread, eggs, onion, chilli, coriander leaves, butter, pepper powder and salt to taste. It is an easy and nutritious recipe that will fill your belly in no time!
Also, this bread omelette will be a great option for lunch box for kids and also for after school snack. Eggs are a source of high proteins, vitamins and minerals. The presence of Vitamin D in eggs aids in the maintenance of strong bones. Vitamin D is necessary for calcium absorption as well as bone health. INGREDIENTS
- 2 egg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/8 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 green chilli - finely chopped
- 2 tbsp onion - finely chopped
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves - finely chopped
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 tsp unsalted butter
- 2 bread slice
- 1 tsp coriander leaves - for garnish (optional)
PROCEDURE
- break the eggs in a bowl, I used country eggs
- add salt, turmeric powder, pepper powder, chopped green chili, onion and coriander leaves
- add a tbsp of water and whisk everything with a fork for few seconds
- Omelette mixture is ready and set aside
- heat unsalted butter in a pan, add the omelette mixture
- slightly swirl the pan, so that omelette mixture evenly spread
- add a bread slice on top of the omelette, I used white bread, you can use wheat bread or brown bread, works good
- Immediately flip the bread alone, sprinkle with a pinch of pepper powder
- cook for 30 seconds on medium flame
- flip over the omelette to other side along with the bread slice
- fold the omelette on the bread (see the picture below)
- add a tsp of butter on top the bread
- bread omelette is ready
- cut into four slices or cut into triangles and finally garnish with a tsp of coriander leaves
- Enjoy with a cup of tea for morning breakfast or evening snack

- choose white bread or brown or wheat bread
- adding green chili is optional, replace with only black pepper powder
- in the traditional recipe, they don't use turmeric powder, I love to add it
