Masala Peanuts is a little spicy and crunchy snack coated in besan flour, rice flour, ginger garlic paste and few Indian spices. It is served with a cup of hot tea or can be eaten just like that. It tastes so delicious and crispy in every bite. It is very easy to make at home under 20 minutes.
Make this spicy peanuts in a large quantity and store in an airtight container for weeks because this snack doesn't go bad and can be stored for a month.These masala peanuts are so much better than store bought ones. INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup besan flour
- 3 tbsp rice flour
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1.5 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- 3/4 tsp red chilli powder
- 3/4 tsp ginger garlic paste
- pinch of baking soda
- 2 tbsp curry leaves - chopped
- salt to taste
- 1.5 cup raw peanuts
- water as needed - less than 1/4 cup
- oil - for deep fry
PROCEDURE
- in a mixing bowl, add besan flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, baking soda, ginger garlic paste and chopped curry leaves
- mix well
- add raw peanuts
- sprinkle water little by little and coat the spices well with the peanuts
- take a small batch of coated peanuts and drop in hot oil and fry in low medium flame
- fry the peanuts until it turns cripsy and golden brown
- once the masala peanuts ready, remove from the hot oil and drain on paper towel to remove the excess oil
- cool down completely and then store in an air tight container
- serve as a snack with a cup of tea or coffee

- adjust spice level according to your taste
- fry the peanuts in batches
- in the same recipe, you can replace peanuts with cashews
