RECIPE FOR CANDIED WALNUTS

INGREDIENTS
- 1 tbsp unsalted butted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup walnuts
PROCEDURE
- heat unsalted butter in a non stick pan
- once the butter melts thoroughly, add granulated sugar and walnuts together
- mix well and keep the flame on low medium and continue to stir for 4-5 minutes
- stir continuously until all the sugar is melted and coated well with the walnuts (at this stage walnuts looks glossy)
- once all the sugar coated well with the walnuts, immediately switch off the flame and transfer it into the parchment paper and separate the walnuts with the fork
- cool down at room temperature for another 5 minutes (coating will get harden)
- serve as an appetizer or as a snack
- Enjoy!
- store these candied walnuts in an air tight container for up to 3 weeks
- in the same recipe, you can replace walnuts with pecan, cashews or almonds
