KAMBU LADOO RECIPE | BAJRA LADOO RECIPE | STARTUP COOKING
Kambu ladoo are delicious, healthy and nutritious sweet, made with pearl millet flour, grated jaggery, cardamom powder, cashews and ghee. Kambu is also known as pearl millet in English and Bajra in Hindi in most Indian languages. This recipe is so simple and easy to prepare under 30 minutes.
The use of adding Jaggery stimulates bowel movements and aids in digestion and prevent constipation because of its high fibre content. It prevents anemia because of its higher iron content and women who have low hemoglobin can make it a habit to add jaggery in their diet on a regular basis. It improves our immunity in many ways.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup pearl millet flour (kambu or bajra flour)
- 3/4 cup grated jaggery
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 3 tbsp cashews - chopped
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup ghee
PROCEDURE
- dry roast kambu (pearl millet) flour in low medium flame for 10 minutes until nice aroma comes
- switch off the flame and transfer the flour into the mixing bowl and cool down for 10 minutes
- in the same pan, fry chopped cashews in a tsp of ghee until they lightly browned, set aside
- add grated jaggery, cardamom powder and fried cashews into the roasted kambu flour
- mix well with your clean hands
- in the meanwhile, melt the ghee and add little by little and mix into the flour
- pinch a small flour from the bowl and shape it into a small round ball, add little extra ghee for perfect round shape
- press the ladoo tightly so that it stays intact, similarly, make all ladoos with the remaining flour
- healthy and tasty kambu ladoo is ready to serve as snack
- stays good for a week
- you can use any millet flour and prepare ladoo in the same way
- instead of powdered jaggery, you can also use sugar
- you can also use you favorite nuts
- use little extra ghee for perfect round shape
