APPAM RECIPE | APPAM RECIPE WITHOUT YEAST | KERALA APPAM |
STARTUP COOKING
Appam also called as palappam or plain appam or lace hopper. It is a very popular and traditional breakfast recipe of kerala. This is not the typical kerala appam recipe but this is Tamil Nadu style of making appams.
Appams are soft and spongy in the center and has a thin and crispy texture on the outside. Personally i love to have thin appam. This is a very good and healthy breakfast option, usually appam is made in every south Indian house holds. For this recipe, i didn't add any cooking soda or yeast, also no need to add any oil to make appams.
Appam is believed to have only 120 calories and is a great, healthy choice for a delicious meal for a weight loss diet. Appam also lowers cholesterol levels and helps to avoid heart problems and disorders.
Appam goes well with coconut milk, kadala curry or vegetable stew and gives you a yummy treat to your taste buds and a good meal. Follow my step by step photo recipe to prepare Traditional Appam. If you like this recipe, share it, tweet it and pin it. Please do try and post your comments.
