Curd Sandwich or Yogurt Sandwich or Dahi Sandwich  is super quick and easy sandwich recipe and is a staple breakfast on weekends in my home. This Sandwich is loaded with Curd and lots of vegetables and it can be a perfect breakfast or evening snack. 

Curd is well known for its cooling properties and  also it has rich in probiotics that helps to keep intestines healthy.

This is a very tasty and delicious snack that can be made in less than 20 minutes,  just need a bit of fine chopping! Here I used onion, carrot, sweet corn and capsicum, but you can replace with boiled peas, sautéed mushrooms, shredded cabbage etc., and also you can add boiled eggs and shredded chicken instead of veggies.

Bread - you can use any bread, white bread, milk bread, wheat bread, or multigrain bread etc., I always recommend to toast the bread for sandwiches to prevent from sogginess.

You can also pack this tasty and healthy curd sandwich for kids lunchbox. You can serve this sandwich as evening snack on kids parties, potluck or outdoor party.  This healthy sandwich recipe will treat to your taste buds. RECIPE FOR CURD SANDWICH

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 slice bread - white or brown
  • 1 cup thick curd / yogurt or hung curd
  • 3 tbsp carrot - grated
  • 3 tbsp onion - chopped
  • 3 tbsp capsicum - chopped
  • 3 tbsp corn - boiled
  • salt to taste
  • 1 green chili - chopped
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli flakes - optional
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves - chopped
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

PROCEDURE

  • in a mixing bowl, add chopped vegetables, green chili, thick curd or hung curd, salt, black pepper powder and red chilli flakes
  • mix well and set aside
  • heat unsalted butter in a pan or griddle
  • add bread slices
  • toast the bread on both the sides until light brown
  • spread the curd mix on the bread evenly
  • cover with another toasted bread
  • gently press the bread
  • slice and serve the sandwich right away
  • taste delicious
NOTES
  1. choose white bread, brown bread or multigrain bread
  2. adjust spice level according to your taste
  3. choose veggies of your choice

Curd Sandwich With Step By Step Photo Recipe



in a mixing bowl, add hung curd, salt, red chili flakes, pepper powder and chopped green chilli, mix well


add chopped onion, capsicum, coriander leaves, boiled corn 
and grated carrot


mix well


heat butter in a cast iron grill pan


toast bread on both the sides till light brown and crisp


spread curd mix on the toasted bread


cover with another toasted bread


slice and serve


serve immediately
