SEERAGA SAMBAR RICE VEG BIRYANI - STARTUP COOKING
Seeraga samba airsi is a tiny grained rice which is usually to make biryani in South India. This tiny grained rice gets its name from its resemblance to cumin, which is known as Seeragam (cumin seeds) in Tamil Nadu. It is also known as Kaima rice.
If you do not have Seeraga Samba rice, you can substitute with Basmati Rice. This is one of the best biryani with full of very distinct flavors, which comes from the rice, whole spices, especially black stone flower and cardamom. The whole recipe can be prepared in less than an hour. Soak the Seeraga Samba rice in water for minimum 30 minutes for better taste.
Here I used open pot method instead of pressure cooker. Vegetable Dum Biryani is best served with raitha and salad. Follow my step-by-step photo recipe to prepare Seeraga Samba Rice Veg Biryani. If you like this recipe, share it, tweet it and pin it. Please do try and post your comments.
