MASALA PORI | EVENING SNACK | SNACKS | PORI RECIPE | STARTUP COOKING
Masala Pori or Kara Pori is one of the easy and tasty snack, that is prepared commonly in many houses. Masala pori recipe - a spicy puffed rice, is a crispy and spicy snack too. This is one of the low fat evening snack and can be prepared in minutes. This recipe is one of the basic preparation and can be customized to everyone's taste. I used crushed garlic pods along with the skin and lots of curry leaves that being a burst of flavors to the pori / puffed rice.

RECIPE FOR MASALA PORI

INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups puffed rice / pork
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup peanuts
- 2 tbsp fried gram dal
- 3 garlic - crushed
- 1 spring curry leaves
- 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
- 1.5 tsp sambar powder
- salt to taste
PROCEDURE
- dry roast peanuts on low medium heat and keep it aside
- heat oil in a wok
- add crushed garlic and curry leaves
- saute well
- add fried gram dal and stir in medium flame for few seconds or until the color changes
- add roasted peanuts 🥜 and stir for 30 seconds
- add turmeric powder, sambar powder and salt
- mix well
- switch off the flame immediately
- add puffed rice
- combine altogether or mix evenly
- serve immediately with a cup of hot Tea or Coffee ☕️
- after cool down, store in an air tight container for evening snack

dry roast peanuts in low medium heat
roasted peanuts, keep it aside
heat oil in a wok, add crushed garlic
add curry leaves, saute for a while
add fried gram dal
roast in medium flame for few seconds or till the color changes
add roasted peanuts and mix well
add turmeric powder, sambar powder and salt
mix well and switch off the flame immediately
add puffed rice
combine altogether
serve hot with a cup of tea or coffee as evening snack
