RECIPE FOR TOMATO 🍅 IDIYAPPAM

INGREDIENTS
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves
- 1 inch cinnamon stick
- 1/4 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 spring curry leaves
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 big onion - finely chopped
- 2 tomato - finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp sambar powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- salt to taste
- 5-6 idiyappam
PROCEDURE
- in a mixing bowl, crumble the idiyappam
- heat oil in a wok
- add cloves, cinnamon stick and fennel seeds
- saute for few seconds
- add curry leaves and allowed to turn crisp
- add crushed garlic and ginger, saute for a while
- add finely chopped onion
- saute well
- add chopped tomato
- saute and cook well, till it turn mushy
- add turmeric powder, sambar powder, garam masala powder and salt
- mix well
- cover and cook for few minutes or until the raw smell goes
- add idiyappam and combine altogether
- cover and cook in medium flame for 1-2 minute
- garnish with coriander leaves
- serve hot
- taste yum 😋

heat oil in a wok
add cloves, cinnamon stick and fennel seeds, saute well
add curry leaves, crushed garlic and ginger, saute for few seconds
add finely chopped onion
saute well
add chopped tomato
saute well until it turn mushy
add turmeric powder, sambar powder, garam masala powder and salt
mix well, cover and cook in medium flame for few minutes or until the raw smell goes

crumble well and add it into the masala mix
combine altogether and cook for 1 or 2 minute
garnish with coriander leaves
serve hot and tastes yum 😋
