Tomato Garlic Chutney is a delicious accompaniment, which goes well with South Indian recipes. This chutney is prepared using grounded tomatoes, garlic and red chilli, is flavored with mustards seeds, curry leaves and sesame oil. Garlic adds a nice flavor to this chutney and it goes well with Idli, Dosa, Uthappam, Appam and Paniyaram. This is one of the lip smacking, traditional South Indian chutney recipe prepared at home. RECIPE FOR TOMATO 🍅 GARLIC CHUTNEY

INGREDIENTS
- 2 tomato 🍅 - roughly chopped
- 6 garlic
- 6-8 red chilli
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 spring curry leaves
- salt 🧂 to taste
PROCEDURE
- in a mixer grinder, add roughly chopped tomatoes, red chilli and garlic
- grind to a smooth paste without adding any water
- heat sesame oil in a cast iron wok
- add mustard seeds and allowed to crackle
- add curry leaves and allow to turn crisp
- add grounded paste and salt
- mix well
- cover and cook in low medium flame
- cook until the oil separates from the chutney
- serve with idli, dosa and uthappam

Tomato 🍅 Garlic Chutney with Step-By-Step Photo Recipe
Take 2 tomato
roughly chop the tomato and add into mixer grinder
add garlic and red chilli
grind to a smooth paste without adding water
heat sesame oil in a cast iron wok
add mustard seeds and allowed to splutter
add curry leaves and allowed to turn crisp
add grounded paste
add salt
mix well
cover and cook in low medium flame
cook until the oil separates from the chutney
