RECIPE FOR INSTANT POHA IDLI

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup poha | Aval | flattened rice
- 2 cup sour curd / yogurt
- 1 1/2 cup idli rava | rice rava
- salt to taste
- pinch of baking soda
- water as needed
- oil to grease idli mould
PROCEDURE
- take 1 cup poha in a bowl
- wash well and drain the water
- add sour curd / yogurt
- mix well
- soak for 15 minutes
- mash well with spoon
- add rice rava / idli rava
- mix well
- allow to rest for 15 minutes and now idli rava has absorbed most of the water content
- add required amount of water to get idli batter consistency
- mix well
- add salt and pinch of baking soda
- mix well
- grease idli plate with oil
- pour the batter in each mould
- steam for 10-12 minutes
- serve hot with tomato chutney or idli podi
Notes: If you want, you can grind idli rava in to fine powder using mixer grinder.

take 1 cup poha in a bowl
