Palak Pakoda is one of the perfect evening snack recipe during winter or rainy season with a cup of hot Tea. A quick snack recipe made of spinach leaves, onion, chick pea flour, rice flour, ajwain and with some basic spices. This recipe is easy to prepare and cook under 20 minutes. These pakoras are crispy and too tasty which do not require any dip or condiments and can be eaten plain just along with a cup of tea. Follow my step-by-step photo recipe to prepare Palak Pakoda. RECIPE FOR PALAK PAKODA

INGREDIENTS
- 1 large onion - thinly sliced
- 2 1/2 cup spinach leaves - chopped
- 1/2 cup chick pea flour / besan flour
- 1/4 cup rice flour
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1.5 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp ajwain seeds
- pinch of baking soda
- 2 tbsp cashews - chopped
- oil for deep fry
PROCEDURE
- in a mixing bowl add thinly sliced onion
- wash spinach leaves and chop, add into the bowl
- add chick pea flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, ajwain seeds, chopped cashews and a pinch of baking soda
- mix all the ingredients well
- washed spinach leaves itself has water, so no need to add water, if need sprinkle few drops of water to the batter
- heat oil in a wok for deep fry
- drop a small portion of the batter into the hot oil
- stir well and fry in medium flame until golden in color
- drain them in the kitchen tissue paper
- serve hot with your favorite dip

in a mixing bowl, add thinly sliced onion
add chopped spinach
add chick pea flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, ajwain, salt and baking soda
mix well ( no need to add water)
add chopped cashews
combine well
drop a small portion of the batter into the hot oil, stir well, deep fry in medium flame
spinach pakora turns golden in color and fried well
drain them in the paper towel
continue the same process with the remaining batter
