Here is the another delicious recipe of paneer and capsicum. Paneer Capsicum gravy made with fresh cream and fried cashews along with basic onion tomato gravy with some spice mix. Adding kasoori methi leaves gives a good flavor to this recipe and over all it is a rich, creamy and delicious with chapathi, roti, parathi or naan. RECIPE FOR PANEER CAPSICUM

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1.5 tbsp cashews
  • 2 green chillli
  • 1 large onion - finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 large tomato - finely chopped
  • 1 capsicum - thinly sliced
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1.5 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • salt as needed
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 cup paneer cubes
  • 1/4 cup fresh cream
  • 1 tsp kasoori methi leaves
PROCEDURE
  • heat oil in a wok, fry cashews till golden brown, remove the cashews and drain on paper towel to remove excess oil
  • in the same oil, add green chilli and fry well
  • add finely chopped onion and saute well until it turn translucent
  • add ginger garlic paste and saute well or until the raw smell goes
  • add finely chopped tomato and cook well  or until it turn mushy 
  • add thinly sliced capsicum and saute well
  • add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder
  • add yogurt and mix well
  • add 1/4 cup water and salt
  • cover and cook for 8 minutes on medium flame or until oil starts to leave the sides of the pan
  • add paneer cubes, mix well, cover and cook
  • add fresh cream, kasoori methi leaves and fried cashews
  • mix well and cook for 1 minute
  • paneer capsicum ready
  • serve hot with chapathi, roti or naan

Paneer Capsicum with Step-by-Step Photo Recipe


fry cashews in 2 tbsp of oil


remove them and drain on paper towel to remove excess oil


in the same oil, add green chilli and fry 


add finely chopped onion and saute until it turn translucent


add ginger garlic paste and saute well


add chopped tomato


saute well


add thinly sliced capsicum


saute well


add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder


add yogurt


mix well


add 1/4 cup water


add salt


mix well, cover and cook for 7-8 minutes


oil starts to leave the sides of the pan


add paneer cubes


cover and cook the paneer


add fresh cream


add crushed kasoori methi leaves and fried cashews

mix well and cook for 1 minute

Paneer Capsicum Ready. Serve hot with chapathi, roti or naan, tastes delicious
