Masala buttermilk or spiced buttermilk is very healthy and tasty drink prepared with thick yogurt or curd, ginger, green chillies, etc., This is the best drink to beat the summer heat. It is usually served after meals to improve digestion or before meals as a stomach cleanser. Buttermilk is too good for health. It contains no butter and is low in fat and calories making it good health. Buttermilk is rich in potassium, vitamin C-12, calcium, phosphorus and probiotics which is essential for the body. INGREDIENTS
PROCEDURE
- In a mixer grinder, add mint leaves, coriander leaves, curry leaves, ginger, green chilli, cumin seed, pepper corn, hing, salt and 1 tbsp yogurt/curd.
- grind to a smooth paste
- in a tall container, add yogurt/curd
- add masala paste
- add 2 cup of water
- using hand blender, blend well until foam and frothy
- transfer to serving glass
- serve chill
- garnish with coriander leaves
