RECIPE FOR KERALA FRIED PRAWN 🍤

INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound prawn 🍤 (remove head and tail, de-vein)
- 3 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp pepper powder
- 1 stalk curry leaves (chopped)
- 3 tsp lemon juice
- salt as needed
- 2 tbsp oil for shallow fry
PROCEDURE
- Remove head and tail, clean the prawn, de-vein and wash thrice with running water, clean with turmeric powder and again clean with running water twice.
- In a mixing bowl, add ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, lemon juice and salt.
- mix well
- add prawn
- marinate the prawns by rubbing all ingredients
- refrigerate for 30 minutes
- heat cast iron pan
- add oil
- add marinated prawn
- shallow fry
- cover and cook on medium flame for 5 minutes
- flip over and shallow fry on the other side
- cook until golden brown on the both sides
- serve this delicious kerala fried prawn with slice of lemon and onion ring.
