RECIPE FOR KADAI PANEER

INGREDIENTS
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup paneer
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 1 onion - finely chopped
- 1 tomato - pureed
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 capsicum - cut into cubes
- salt - as needed
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves -for garnish
Kadai Masala (roast and grind)
- 11 pepper corn
- 4 red chilli
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
PROCEDURE:
- Heat a pan
- add peppercorn, red chillies, coriander seeds, cumin seed and fennel seeds
- dry roast all the ingredients till the flavor comes out
- transfer to a mixer grinder
- grind to a fine powder
- divide into two parts one is slightly finer, and another is coarse powder
- Heat butter in a pan
- add paneer cubes
- fry for a minute or until color change
- in the same pan, add remaining butter
- add 1 tsp kadai masala powder
- add finely chopped onion
- saute till onion become translucent
- add ginger garlic paste
- saute until the raw smell goes out
- add tomato puree
- saute for a minute
- add chopped capsicum
- add chilli powder, garam masala, sugar and salt
- mix well
- add 1/2 cup water
- cover and cook for 5-7 minutes in low flame
- add fried paneer and remaining kadai masala powder
- combine altogether and cook for 5-7 minutes
- garnish with chopped coriander leaves
- Delicious kadai paneer ready now
- serve hot with roti, naan or rice
Kadai Paneer with Step-by-Step Photo Recipe
dry roast cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, pepper corn and red chilli
cool down
transfer into mixer grinder and grind to a fine powder
heat butter in a pan
add paneer cubes
roast on all the sides in medium flame, keep it aside
in the same pan, add 1 tsp ground masala powder, saute for few seconds
add finely chopped onion, saute well
add ginger garlic paste
saute well until the raw smell goes
add chopped tomato
saute well
add chopped capsicum
add chili powder, garam masala powder, salt and sugar
mix well
add 1/2 cup water
mix well
cover and cook for 5-7 minutes
add fried paneer and remaining ground masala powder
mix well and cook for another 5 minutes
garnish with coriander leaves
